The Dutch opens!

The Dutch

New York, NY

On an iconic corner of SoHo in Manhattan, where Sullivan and Prince Streets meet – in a space that was formerly home to Elephant & Castle and the Cub Room – Roman and Williams designed The Dutch, a new restaurant from Locanda Verde’s Chef Andrew Carmellini, and his partners Josh Pickard and Luke Ostrom. For their new American restaurant, Roman and Williams has designed a space that feels of and about its neighborhood, and its city. The location’s sense of old New York pedigree is underscored by the history of the building, which was built in 1897 and was home to a succession of businesses, including a family grocer, a confectioner, a flower shop, a drug store, and a restaurant, in its first hundred years.
